Fire Trucks or Football, Which Is More Fun?

Harris County High School football players sponsored fund-raising car washes on Saturday, July 17.

The football players in Pine Mountain became extremely wide-eyed when firefighters pulled up in Quint 1201. But washing the big truck was easy as Pine Mountain’s firefighters keep their apparatus washed and clean.

After the fire truck was washed, the ladder was extended and the bravest football players climbed to the top of the 75-foot ladder. In addition, the players were allowed to pump water from an 1-3/4” line and got some idea of how hard it can be to hold on to a charged fire hose.

Everybody knows that most firefighters are just big kids, so everyone had a good time and having the fire truck on site generated more car wash business

Proceeds from the car wash benefitted the high school football program..
